Scholarships - The Academy

The Academy scholarship program offers opportunities for students to reach their full potential by helping you and your family pay for school.

Recruit Scholarship

Benefit: 100% of Tuition Fees annually
Open to: Year 11 Students

Aimed at attracting high-calibre students to The Academy and promoting diversity amongst our cohorts.

Eligibility

Awarded to a student entering The Academy at Year 11 who embodies our culture and values and demonstrates high-level commitment towards his football and academic development.

Requirements

Current NAB league player that tests highly at The Academy Testing Days
Completed Scholarship Application Form
Supporting documentation (to be advised by The Academy)
Interview with The Academy (for shortlisted applicants)

Applications for 2023 will open in 2022 by invitation to apply.

Opportunity Scholarship

Benefit: 50% of Tuition Fees annually
Open to: Year 11 Students

Helping families support their son’s journey at The Academy by reducing financial barriers.

Eligibility

Awarded to a student entering The Academy at Year 11 whose family can demonstrate financial hardship.

Requirements

Completed Scholarship Application Form
Supporting documentation (to be advised by The Academy)
Interview with The Academy (for shortlisted applicants)
Must attend an Information Session or Experience Day

Scholarships are offered to students in conjunction with our Education Partners. GoTafe for Essendon & Wangaratta Campus and Western Heights College for Geelong Campus.

Application Process

1. Apply

Complete the online application form and supply any supporting documentation (if required) via email to enrolment@theacademy.com.au

You will receive an acknowledgement email once your application has been received.

Supporting documentation not supplied to The Academy by the scholarships closing date will not be considered.

For the application to be eligible families will need to attend a Information Session or Experience Day prior to the scholarship closing date.

2. Interview

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in an interview with The Academy teaching and Admissions team. Interviews will be held face to face or via video conference call.

3. Scholarship Offer

Successful applicants will be notified via phone and sent a formal offer via email. To accept the offer, successful applicants must pay the one-off, non-refundable New Starter Deposit of $1000 and return a signed copy of the Scholarship Terms & Conditions Agreement within two weeks of the offer being made.

All other applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application in writing via email by mid-December, 2022.

Can enrolled students apply for The Academy Scholarships?

Yes if the student meets the requirements of the above Scholarship they are eligible to apply.

What is the duration of the Scholarship?

If successful the Scholarship will be applied for the duration of the students Year 11 & 12 enrolment.

Is there a minimum level of football competition to be eligible?

Football talent is taken into consideration but isn’t the determining factor for an offer. The Academy is focused on finding students that heavily represent our culture.

What happens if I miss a key date?

Unfortunately no exceptions will be made for late or missed submissions.
