Wangaratta Campus: a class of their own!

2021 saw The Academy, in partnership with GOTAFE, expand into Victoria’s north-east region with the opening of the first Wangaratta campus.

Identified as a region burgeoning with families that live and breathe football, with young players that align closely with the purpose and mission of The Academy, Wangaratta presented itself as a perfect fit for the next campus of The Academy.

The first cohort includes students from all across the north-east region, including some travelling from across the NSW/VIC border each day to experience and take advantage of everything that The Academy has to offer.

Captained by their teacher and long-standing GOTAFE educator, Justin McMahon, who himself has an impressive background in the football and education industries in the north-east, we can’t wait to see these students build and sustain a culture built on love, positivity, leadership and engagement.

Supporting students’ physical and football development in the High Performance Program, the Wangaratta campus’ Head of Strength+Conditioning, Cam Bishop, brings with him skills and knowledge from working in similar roles with the Murray Bushrangers.

We hope that you’ll join The Academy and GOTAFE in welcoming the Wangaratta campus into the family and we look forward to sharing all campuses successes into the future.
